Job summary

Eptec Group, a leading corrosion mitigation and asset protection company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead our field team based in Wivenhoe, QLD. You will deliver high-quality outcomes safely, on time, and in full compliance with contract and regulatory standards.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Solutions team, you will prepare project plans, coordinate resources, and monitor progress across asset remediation and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in Asset Remediation, Civil Construction, Infrastructure or Defence environment.
  • Engineering degree required.
  • Coatings/surface prep knowledge and remediation experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver defined projects with best practice and client standards.
  • Prepare project plans, Gantt charts and specifications for minor projects.
  • Schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects.

About Us:

Eptec Group is a leading corrosion mitigation and asset protection company, specialising in the protection, preservation and rehabilitation of critical infrastructure assets.

Our Infrastructure Solutions team delivers complex remediation, maintenance and refurbishment works across water, rail, tunnels, bridges and other key infrastructure sectors.

We are currently supporting a range of major infrastructure projects across NSW, including tunnelling, rail and other critical asset remediation works.

Compensation – $110,000 to $120,000 full time rate annually (subject to experience)

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead our field team based in Wivenhoe, QLD supporting projects across the Infrastructure Solutions portfolio.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality outcomes safely, on time, and in full compliance with contract and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Provide project support and assistance through the ownership and delivery of defined projects with best practice, client standards and the agreed outcomes and business benefits.
  • Prepare documentation including project plans, Gantt charts and specifications for minor projects.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
  • Assist to coordinate all project elements including QA/QC, logistics, reporting, compliance, subcontractor management, equipment control, supplies and project management administration.
  • Provide timely and efficient coordination and dissemination of project material and project support by undertaking administrative project tasks including managing and maintaining project briefs, project scheduling, action logs, budgets, and performance monitoring of projects.
  • Interact daily with Site Supervisors, Project Managers and other project personnel, providing assistance and technical support

Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 year's experience in Asset Remediation, Civil Construction, Infrastructure or Defence environment.
  • Relevant degree in Engineering.
  • Possess technical knowledge in coatings, surface preparation, management of hazardous substances and application processes, being highly desirable; with experience in asset remediation and infrastructure projects, with blasting & painting and concrete rehabilitation works.
  • NACE 1 or 2 certified. (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc).
  • Ability to work to project deadlines, budgets and team orientated.
