Eptec Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead our field team based in Wivenhoe, QLD, supporting projects across the Infrastructure Solutions portfolio. This hands-on leadership role will deliver high-quality outcomes safely, on time, and in full compliance with contract and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years’ experience supervising blast & paint, remediation, or waterproofing works, strong leadership, and technical expertise in surface prep, coating

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years’ experience supervising blast & paint, remediation, or waterproofing works.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Technical expertise in surface prep, coating systems, hazardous substances and QA/QC.
  • Background in defence or infrastructure remediation highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable managing site documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of field-based painters/blasters.
  • Drive Eptec’s Zero Harm safety culture across all works.
  • Oversee project delivery including task planning, risk assessments, and quality control.
  • Ensure subcontractors and suppliers meet compliance and quality benchmarks.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports.
  • Champion continuous improvement and professional growth within your team.

Compensation – $90,000 to $110,000 full time rate annually (subject to experience)
About the Role

What You’ll Bring

  • NACE Level 2 (preferred but not essential)
  • Background in defence or infrastructure remediation highly desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable managing site documentation
