Job summary

Sedgman is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer based in Brisbane to coordinate electrical work packages and manage contractors on major mining and processing projects. You will support construction, commissioning and overall project delivery, collaborating closely with engineering, procurement and site teams.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with ~5+ years in project engineering, plus experience in contractor management, mining or heavy industry, and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering is required.
• Approximately 5+ years of project engineering experience.
• Contractor and subcontractor management experience.
• Exposure to mining, mineral processing, power generation or heavy industry projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Construction and commissioning experience.
• Commercial and contract administration exposure.

About You

You are a hands-on Project Engineer who enjoys working in a delivery-focused environment and has experience supporting complex construction projects.

To be successful, you will have:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
• Approximately 5+ years' Project Engineering experience
• Contractor and subcontractor management experience
• Exposure to mining, mineral processing, power generation or heavy industry projects
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary project teams
• Construction and commissioning experience
• Commercial and contract administration exposure
