Job summary

Sedgman, based in Brisbane, seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical scopes across major projects in Victoria and the Northern Territory. You will work with project managers, engineering and construction teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery from construction through commissioning.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in project engineering with mining/mineral processing or heavy industry exposure, strong contract and cost-management skills, and proven leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of project engineering experience.
• Experience delivering electrical scopes in mining/mineral processing or heavy industry environments.
• Experience managing contractors and subcontractors.
• Cost control, forecasting and commercial management experience.
• Strong leadership within project delivery teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Based in Brisbane, this role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of electrical project scopes across major projects in Victoria and the Northern Territory. You'll work closely with project managers, engineering teams, construction personnel and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and successfully from construction through to commissioning.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years' Project Engineering experience
• Experience delivering electrical scopes within mining, mineral processing, power generation or heavy industry environments
• Strong experience managing contractors and subcontractors
• Contract negotiation and contract management experience
• Cost control, forecasting and commercial management capability
• Demonstrated leadership experience within project delivery teams
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience delivering projects through construction and commissioning phases

Highly Regarded

• EPC or EPCM project delivery experience
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams
• Commissioning and completions experience
