Job summary

Gravity Resources is seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of oil and gas gathering systems. The role is a FIFO from Brisbane, tasked with ownership of key work packages from design and procurement through construction, testing, completion and handover.

You will collaborate with Project Management, Construction, HSE, Quality, Survey, Clients and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient delivery to required standards, while developing programmes

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate assigned work packages across engineering, construction, procurement and project delivery.
• Develop and maintain construction programmes, MSP schedules, trackers, look-ahead planning and progress reporting.
• Review IFC drawings, specifications and scopes to identify constructability issues, technical queries and project interfaces.
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractors and suppliers, including scopes, technical evaluations and bid analysis.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, progress, risks and potential impacts to schedule and delivery.
• Work with project teams to resolve technical, safety, quality and environmental issues and drive effective close-out.
• Lead and coordinate SIMOPS and interfaces with Clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership to Project Engineers and Field Engineers at Senior Project Engineer level.
• Support testing, punch-list close-out, as-built documentation and final project handover.

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer with oil and gas gathering systems experience to join a high-performing project team delivering complex construction and infrastructure projects.

This is a FIFO opportunity from Brisbane, offering the chance to take ownership of key work packages and play an integral role in delivering projects from design and procurement through construction, testing, completion and handover.

About the Role

You will work closely with Project Management, Construction, HSE, Quality, Survey, Clients and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

About You

You will be an experienced Project Engineer with proven experience delivering oil and gas gathering systems and a strong understanding of construction and project delivery.

You will have:

• Demonstrated experience working on oil and gas gathering systems, including associated pipeline and infrastructure works.
• A relevant engineering qualification and demonstrated experience in a project engineering role.
• Experience with construction planning, scheduling and progress tracking, including MS Project or similar.
• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Experience across procurement, subcontractor management, cost forecasting and project coordination.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach to identifying risks, solving problems and delivering outcomes.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards.
• The ability to work on a FIFO roster from Brisbane.
• Senior Project Engineers should also have experience leading engineering teams, managing work packages and providing technical leadership across complex oil and gas projects.
