Job summary

ProFound People is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer with a water and wastewater focus to join our Adelaide team. You will manage electrical design, BOMs, documentation, and delivery from concept through to commissioning on water treatment projects.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in electrical/project/design/controls roles, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Electrical, Project, Design or Controls Engineering
• Experience in Water/Wastewater/Industrial Process/Utilities projects
• Experience with electrical systems, control panels, instrumentation, PLCs, VSDs
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings
• Experience with industrial automation or SCADA would be beneficial
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience taking projects from concept through manufacture, installation and commissioning
• Ability to manage projects, timelines, budgets and technical documentation
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs and engineering documentation
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from concept through to production, installation and delivery
• Support electrical design and delivery of Water/Wastewater treatment systems and equipment
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners
• Review electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
• Specify electrical equipment, instrumentation and control panels
• Coordinate with fabrication, manufacturing and installation providers
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and project records
• Create and maintain BOMs in the MRP system
• Support testing and commissioning as required
• Work within a growing engineering team on various projects

ROLE – Electrical Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater

SALARY - $135,000 - $155,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

My client provides specialist engineering solutions across the Water and Wastewater sector, delivering innovative treatment systems and engineered solutions.

They are looking for a Project Engineer with an electrical bias and experience in Water Treatment to join their growing team in Adelaide.

The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• At least 2 years of experience in an Electrical, Project, Design, or Controls Engineering role
• Experience working on Water, Wastewater, Industrial Process, Utilities, or similar engineering projects
• Experience with electrical systems, control panels, instrumentation, PLCs, VSDs, or similar equipment
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings
• Experience with industrial automation, controls, or SCADA would be beneficial
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
• Experience taking projects from concept through to manufacture, installation, and commissioning
• Able to manage projects, timelines, budgets, and technical documentation

The Project Engineer role will involve:

• Managing engineering projects from concept through to production, installation, and delivery
• Supporting the electrical design and delivery of Water and Wastewater treatment systems and equipment
• Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners
• Reviewing electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
• Specifying electrical equipment, instrumentation, control panels, and associated components
• Liaising with fabrication, manufacturing, and installation providers throughout project delivery
• Preparing technical documentation, reports, and project records
• Creating and maintaining BOMs within the MRP system
• Supporting testing and commissioning activities where required
• Working within a collaborative, growing engineering team on a variety of projects
