Job summary

Talentweb | B Corp in Sydney seeks an experienced Project Director/Associate Director to lead major residential and accommodation developments from feasibility through handover. You will own project strategy, governance and commercial performance, mentor Project Managers and contribute to client relationships and business development initiatives.

You will drive design, procurement and delivery, manage budgets and risk, coordinate consultants and contractors, and build long-term relationships

Qualifications

• Experience as Project Director, Associate Director or Senior PM in residential or accommodation development.
• Exposure to build-to-rent, student accommodation, hotels, serviced apartments or mixed-use developments.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle.
• Experience leading consultant teams and mentoring project professionals.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Collaborative and practical leadership style.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction, Property, Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is an established client-side project management consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering complex residential and accommodation projects across Sydney and wider NSW.

With a growing pipeline of new-build apartment, build-to-rent, student accommodation, hotel and mixed-use developments, they are seeking an experienced Project Director to join their leadership team.

The business offers a collaborative and hands-on environment, with senior leaders remaining closely involved in project delivery and client relationships.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will lead major residential and accommodation projects from feasibility and planning through design, procurement, construction and handover.

You will take ownership of project strategy, governance, commercial performance, stakeholder management and overall delivery.

You will also provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers and Senior Project Managers within the business.

While this is primarily a project delivery role, you will support the development of existing client relationships, identify opportunities for repeat work and contribute to selected business development initiatives.

• Experience working in client-side project management, development management or consultancy.
