Job summary

Eden Ritchie Recruitment is assisting a Queensland Government client on Sunshine Coast with a 2 year role for senior leadership across major infrastructure programs. You will oversee planning, procurement, delivery, integration, operation and assurance and engage with multiple partners and stakeholders to drive value and outcomes.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex interfaces, and translate objectives into practical plans, ensuring safety, quality and value for money.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, procurement, delivery, integration or readiness of an allocated program function.
• Translate program objectives into clear priorities, accountabilities, delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams and coordinate internal specialists, advisors, delivery partners, consultants and contractors.
• Monitor and report performance against approved scope, time, cost, quality, safety, risk, sustainability and service outcomes.
• Provide strategic, commercial, technical and delivery advice to senior leaders with evidence-based recommendations.
• Manage complex interfaces across projects, contracts, stakeholders, government agencies, local government and communities.
• Identify, investigate and resolve complex delivery, engineering, commercial, organisational or stakeholder issues to improve performance and value for money.
• Establish fit-for-purpose governance, assurance, controls, reporting and decision pathways for the role.
• Represent TMR in negotiations, governance forums and stakeholder engagements as delegated.

Our Queensland Government client isis establishing a senior leadership cohort to support the tactical and operational aspects of the W3MRI program including, planning, procurement, delivery, integration, operation and assurance.

Opportunities may be aligned to the Program Management Unit, Civil Infrastructure Program, Fleet, Operations and Maintenance, client-side delivery, or an Owner Participant role embedded within an Alliance delivery arrangement.

About You

You will have substantial experience operating successfully in complex, high-value infrastructure, transport, construction, engineering, operations or comparable major-program environments.

Key responsibilities

• Establish fit-for-purpose governance, assurance, controls, reporting and decision pathways appropriate to the assigned role.
• Represent TMR in negotiations, governance forums and stakeholder engagements, and act as an authorised representative where formally delegated.

Core capabilities

• Senior leadership experience across major projects or programs, with accountability for outcomes, people, risk and stakeholder confidence.
• Strong command of project, program, commercial and contract management principles, including experience with collaborative or complex delivery models where relevant.
• Ability to rapidly understand context, identify root causes, integrate diverse evidence and convert ambiguity into practical direction and decisions.
• Demonstrated judgement, integrity and resilience in high-pressure environments with multiple accountabilities and competing priorities.
• High-level communication, influencing and negotiation skills, including the ability to explain complex matters clearly to executive, technical, commercial, political and community audiences.
• A collaborative leadership style that builds productive relationships across organisational and contractual boundaries while maintaining clear owner accountability.

Qualifications and conditions

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional credentials are highly regarded and may be mandatory for particular assignments.
• For roles exercising professional engineering accountability, a Washington Accord accredited four-year engineering degree, or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia, and registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) may be required.
• For non-engineering director assignments, substantial relevant executive experience may be considered in place of engineering qualifications, subject to the requirements of the final role.
