Job description

About the Client

Our client is firmly established as one of the most trusted and reputable market leaders in the South Australian fire protection and building services sector. Renowned for delivering high-quality, complex infrastructure and commercial projects across the state, they provide a fully integrated service model—from in-house BIM 3D system design and pipe fabrication to major project delivery and ongoing maintenance.

As a preferred contractor for many of South Australia's significant landmark builds, they have built an enviable reputation for technical excellence and quality delivery.

The Opportunity

Due to continuous internal growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, this is a newly created role for a proactive, hands-on Project Coordinator to join their project delivery team.

Supporting the Project Managers, you will play a central role in coordinating day-to-day site operations, managing trade contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to design specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site visits across Adelaide to monitor installation progress and quality assurance.
  • Schedule, organise, and manage site trades and subcontractors to maintain project timelines.
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination, procurement, and site logistics.
  • Review and interpret system designs and technical drawings to ensure site execution matches engineering specifications.
  • Serve as an operational link between the design team, project managers, and on-site trades to resolve issues efficiently.
About You
  • Industry Background: Ideally experienced within Fire Protection (wet/dry systems). Candidates from commercial Plumbing or Electrical backgrounds with strong building services coordination experience are also strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read, understand, and interpret system designs and technical drawings.
  • Experience: Proven track record as a Project Coordinator, Site Supervisor, or Junior PM in a relevant commercial trade/services environment (trade-qualified professionals looking to step off the tools are welcome).
  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage trade schedules and hold contractors accountable.
  • Valid driver's license for regular site travel.

At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
