Job summary

Autosyn Group Pty Ltd in Sydney's south‑west seeks a hands‑on Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our architectural metalwork team. You will prepare quotes, take‑offs and schedules, and coordinate drafting, workshop and installation activities from quotation through to delivery.

Working closely with the Director, you will liaise with builders, review drawings, manage variations and keep project records up to date. Mandarin skills and White Card are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating, project coordination or similar construction subcontracting role.
• Experience with architectural metalwork, balustrades, aluminium, glazing or facades is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes, estimates and material take‑offs from drawings, allowing for fabrication and installation labour.
• Communicate with builders and clients about RFIs, variations, schedules and progress.
• Coordinate drawing approvals, workshop priorities and installation requirements with the Director and team.
• Follow up project progress, site readiness, delivery dates, approvals and outstanding items.
• Maintain accurate quotation records, variation registers, schedules and project documentation.
• Attend project and site meetings as required.

Chipping Norton, South-West Sydney | Full-time, permanent | $95,000 - $120,000 + super

About the company

Autosyn Group is recruiting for an established architectural metalwork fabricator and installer in South-West Sydney. The business supplies and installs balustrades, handrails, louvres, screens, gates, fencing, awnings, canopies and feature stairs for projects across Sydney.

Projects span schools, aged care, hospitals, data centres, commercial and residential developments, working with Tier-2 builders.

About the role

This role combines hands‑on estimating with practical project coordination. Working closely with the Director, you will prepare quotes and take‑offs, communicate with builders, and coordinate the drafting team, workshop and installation crews from quotation through to installation.

Key responsibilities

Prepare quotes, estimates and material take‑offs from architectural, structural and shop drawings, allowing for fabrication and installation labour.

Communicate with builders and clients about RFIs, variations, schedules and progress.

Coordinate drawing approvals, workshop priorities and installation requirements with the Director and team.

Follow up project progress, site readiness, delivery dates, approvals and outstanding items.

Maintain accurate quotation records, variation registers, schedules and project documentation.

Attend project and site meetings as required.

About you

Relevant experience in estimating, project coordination or a similar construction subcontracting role.

Experience in architectural metalwork, balustrades, aluminium, glazing or facades is highly regarded. Relevant structural steel experience is also welcome.

Demonstrated ability to prepare quotes and take‑offs and read architectural, structural and shop drawings.

Confident communication with builders, site teams and internal colleagues.

Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Excel; Bluebeam, AutoCAD or estimating software skills are an advantage.

A White Card and current driver's licence are desirable for site visits.

Mandarin speaking is highly regarded.

$95,000 - $120,000 base salary plus superannuation, depending on experience.

A permanent full-time role based in Chipping Norton.
