Job summary

Contract Resources is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Western Australia team, supporting major clients and projects across the North-West region. You will report to the Area Manager and collaborate with stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and safely deliver industrial projects.

You'll spend time at Perth facilities, client offices in the CBD, and on-site travel to operational facilities, gaining exposure to diverse industrial services and senior professionals.

Qualifications

  • Degree or trade background in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in Oil & Gas, energy, mining or industrial services with supervision.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with coordination and delivery of activities.
  • Coordinate mobilisations, ensuring resources and documentation are prepared.
  • Maintain project records and reporting throughout the lifecycle.
  • Coordinate labour, plant and equipment requirements.
  • Monitor progress and update stakeholders.
  • Assist with project methodologies, spreads, and documents.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support procurement and contract processes.
  • Assist with commercial activities including estimates and invoicing.
  • Identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver activities safely and in line with contracts

About the Role

Due to continued growth, Contract Resources is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our WA team, supporting major clients and projects across the North-West Region.

Reporting to the Area Manager and partnering closely with key stakeholders, you'll play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects for leading Tier 1 Energy Operators, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

This permanent opportunity offers a diverse work environment, with time spent across our Perth-based facilities, client offices in the CBD, and site travel to operational facilities as required. You'll gain valuable exposure to a broad range of industrial services while working alongside experienced industry professionals and subject matter experts.

Whether you're currently site-based in a leadership, supervisory, planning, or coordination role and looking to take the next step, or already have project coordination experience, this role offers a clear pathway for professional development and progression into Project Management.

Duties will include but are not limited to
  • Support Project Managers with the coordination and delivery of project activities, ensuring schedules, resources, and deliverables are effectively managed.
  • Coordinate project mobilisation activities, ensuring personnel, equipment, methodologies, and documentation are prepared before project commencement.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, and equipment requirements to support successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of project methodologies, equipment spreads, and relevant project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards and report any areas of non-compliance.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
  • Support procurement processes and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with commercial project activities including estimates, variations, order book management, and invoicing requirements.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure project activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual and client requirements
Requirements & Experience Needed
  • Tertiary qualification or trade background in a relevant field, or a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience within the Oil & Gas, energy, mining, or industrial services sectors, including project supervision experience.
  • Proven experience managing projects within time, budget, and safety expectations.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of relevant service lines and operational requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, performance-driven mindset with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead by example and promote a strong safety culture.
