Job summary

Contract Resources in Perth, WA, seeks a Project Specialist to support specialised industrial and mechanical services across our WA operations. You will work with operations, maintenance and project teams to ensure equipment readiness, safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in oil & gas, energy, petrochemical or heavy industry.
• Experience supporting specialised industrial and mechanical service projects.
• Strong knowledge of HPW jetting, vacuum systems and related equipment.
• Experience on major maintenance, shutdowns or decommissioning projects.
• Understanding asset integrity, maintenance planning and equipment reliability.

About the role

Due to continued growth and increasing operational demand, Contract Resources (CR) is seeking an experienced and technically capable Project Specialist to support the delivery of specialised industrial, mechanical, maintenance and asset integrity services across our WA operations.

This role plays a critical part in supporting project planning, execution, equipment readiness and operational performance across complex industrial and energy sector projects. You will work closely with operations, maintenance and project teams to ensure specialised equipment, systems and project deliverables meet operational, safety, regulatory and commercial requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will bring extensive mechanical and industrial services experience, strong technical problem-solving capability, and the ability to support complex projects within high-risk operational environments whilst maintaining a safety-first mindset at all times.

Duties will include but not limited to

• Support the planning and delivery of specialised industrial and mechanical service projects.
• Maintain and support core CR equipment and machinery, including High Pressure Water (HPW) Pumps, Vacuum Trucks/Skids and Pneumatic Operated Equipment.
• Provide technical support and guidance regarding specialised industrial service methodologies and equipment application.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant HSEQ procedures, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in safety audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Develop project reports, operational plans and performance documentation.
• Support asset integrity, maintenance and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Liaise with technicians, contractors and OEM representatives to resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic and operational issues.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives and operational outcomes.
• Support mobilisation planning, equipment readiness and project execution requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across industrial and mechanical service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records relating to plant, equipment and maintenance activities.
• Assist with technical evaluations, equipment specifications and operational planning activities.
• Provide maintenance and operational updates during toolbox talks and project meetings.
• Support the delivery of shutdown, turnaround, maintenance and decommissioning project activities.

Requirements & Experience Needed

• Minimum 5 years' experience within the oil & gas, energy, petrochemical or heavy industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated experience supporting specialised industrial and mechanical service projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of High Pressure Water Jetting, Vacuum Loading Systems and associated industrial service equipment.
• Experience working on major maintenance, shutdown, turnaround or decommissioning projects.
• Demonstrated understanding of asset integrity, maintenance planning and equipment reliability principles.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic and operational issues.
• Experience working within high-risk industrial operating environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple project priorities and deliver outcomes within tight project schedules.
• Relevant mechanical, engineering, project management or trade qualification.
• Strong commitment to HSEQ compliance and continuous improvement.
