Job summary

Fire & Rescue NSW is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex strategic capability programs that support our operational and organisational priorities. You will provide leadership, governance and oversight across multiple projects, ensuring benefits are realised and risks are managed.

The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to enable informed decision-making through effective program management practices and to drive sustainable capability improvements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading complex strategic programs, projects or change initiatives in a government, emergency services or similarly complex environment.
• Sound knowledge and experience in strategic planning, capability development, business improvement and organisational change methodologies.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience and understanding of the NSW regulatory framework and leading change initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and management of complex strategic capability programs and initiatives to support FRNSW priorities.
• Provide leadership, governance, coordination and oversight across multiple projects and workstreams.

Job description

• Package up to $202,166.18 pa. Package includes salary range ($154,231.00 pa to $178,369.00 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
• Greenacre, up to three days in the office each week, with Wednesday being one of those days.

About the role:

Lead the development, implementation and management of complex strategic capability programs and initiatives that support the delivery of FRNSW operational and organisational priorities. The role provides leadership, governance, coordination and oversight across multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring benefits are realised, risks are managed and outcomes support the achievement of FRNSW strategic objectives. The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable capability improvements, support organisational change and enable informed decision-making through effective program management practices.

About you:

• Demonstrated experience leading complex strategic programs, projects or change initiatives in a government, emergency services or similarly complex environment
• Sound knowledge and experience in strategic planning, capability development, business improvement and organisational change methodologies
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience and understanding of the NSW regulatory framework and leading change initiatives
• Tertiary qualifications in a business-related field or equivalent relevant experience
