Tasmania Government seeks a Program Manager (Primary Produce Safety) to lead the Primary Produce Safety Program, ensuring safe food practices across Tasmania’s primary production and processing sectors through compliance with local and national standards.

The role is fixed-term for two years, with a science- and risk-based approach and strong stakeholder engagement to facilitate market access and industry capacity building.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or similar program.
• Experience coordinating programs within a government or public sector is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Primary Produce Safety Program to ensure Tasmania’s primary production and processing sectors comply with the Tasmanian Primary Produce Safety legislation and national food safety standards.
• Develop and implement science- and risk-based strategies to improve food safety and market access for Tasmanian industries.
• Engage with industry, government partners and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
