Margate, Tasmania | Fixed Term Contract November 2026
Partner with leaders. Build safety capability. Drive meaningful change.
At Tassal, our purpose is Sustainably Feeding Tomorrow. As Australia's aquaculture leader and a leading seafood brand, safety is fundamental to how we operate and how we care for our people.
We're looking for an experienced Safety Partner to join our Marine Services & Logistics team in Margate on a fixed term contract. Working alongside operational leaders and teams, you'll play a key role in strengthening safety capability, managing risk and continuing to build a proactive safety culture across a dynamic, hands‑on operational environment.
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Safety, you'll be a visible and trusted safety partner across Marine Services & Logistics. You'll work closely with leaders and teams to understand the realities of their operations and translate safety requirements into practical actions that work on the ground.
This isn't a role focused on simply policing compliance. You'll coach, challenge and influence leaders to take ownership of safety outcomes, build confidence in managing operational risk and embed safety into everyday decision-making.
You're an experienced Safety professional who understands that strong safety outcomes are built through relationships, trust and genuine leadership ownership.
Comfortable working in a hands‑on operational environment, you're able to balance technical safety expertise with a practical and commercially considered approach. You know when to coach, when to challenge and how to bring people with you.
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Lead Auditor Health and Safety qualification will be highly regarded.
This is an opportunity to step into a visible, hands‑on role where you'll have the chance to genuinely influence how safety is led across Marine Services & Logistics.
You’ll work alongside operational leaders, build safety capability across the team and contribute to meaningful safety initiatives that directly impact our people and operations. The role has genuine breadth across risk management, investigations, audits, training, injury management and continuous improvement.
