Job summary

Simplot is seeking a Field Representative for Tasmania's Midlands to manage grower relationships, monitor potato crops and coordinate harvest and storage. The role is highly autonomous, with field-based work across a defined territory and close collaboration with the Raw Procurement Manager to ensure reliable supply for manufacturing.

You will provide agronomic guidance and insights to improve crop outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture, agronomy, crop production, field services or related industry.
• Ability to build credibility and maintain relationships with growers.
• Sound knowledge of agricultural production systems and crop management; potato experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with growers as primary contact through contracting, growing, harvest, and storage.
• Monitor crop performance and yield with field inspections to support planning.
• Coordinate planting, harvest, storage and delivery for reliable supply.
• Provide agronomic guidance for irrigation, nutrition, pest and disease management.
• Negotiate grower contracts and maintain crop records.
• Collaborate with transport, research partners and internal teams to drive improvements.
