Allura Partners is seeking a Program Director to lead a national POS transformation for a major Australian retailer. You will own end-to-end delivery from vendor selection through to rollout, coordinating cross-functional teams across store networks.

You must have hands-on experience delivering POS transformations in multi-site retail and be adept at managing vendors and SI partners, with a track record of engaging executives and steering committees.

Qualifications

• Proven delivery of a POS transformation in a multi-site retail environment.
• Experience managing vendors and systems integrators alongside internal teams.
• Strong understanding of POS integration with ERP, inventory, payments and ecommerce platforms.
• Experience leading store readiness, training, cutover, and hypercare at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders at Executive and Steering Committee level.
• Strong commercial judgement across budget, risk, and benefits realisation.

Responsabilités

• Own end to end delivery of a national POS replacement across the store network, from vendor selection and design through build, pilot, and phased rollout, on time and on budget.
• Lead a blended team of internal IT, retail operations, systems integrator, and vendor resources, setting governance, cadence, and clear accountability across every workstream.
• Partner with Retail Ops, Finance, Supply Chain, and Digital to ensure the new platform integrates cleanly with ERP, inventory, payments, and ecommerce, and supports a consistent omnichannel customer experience.
• Drive store readiness and change, including training, cutover planning, hypercare, and rollout sequencing that minimises trading disruption in peak and non-peak periods.
• Report to the executive and steering committee on progress, risk, spend, and benefits realisation, making hard calls and escalating early.

Our client is a national retailer with a large store network across Australia. They are replacing their point of sales platform nationally and require an experienced Program Director on a 6 month daily rate contract to lead it.

Candidates must have hands‑on experience leading a point of sale transformation in a multi‑site retail environment. This is non‑negotiable.

Skills and Experience

• Proven delivery of a point of sale transformation or replacement program in a multi‑site retail environment
• Significant, demonstrable experience in Program Management across vendor selection, build, pilot, and national rollout
• Experience managing systems integrators and vendors alongside internal teams
• Strong understanding of how POS integrates with ERP, inventory, payments, and ecommerce platforms
• Experience leading store readiness, training, cutover, and hypercare at scale
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders at Executive and Steering Committee level
