Job summary

Ridge View SC in Baldivis is seeking a committed Program Coordinator – Vocational Education and Training (VET). You will provide strategic and operational leadership of our VET programs, aligning pathways that connect students with meaningful opportunities during and beyond school.

Reporting to the Senior School Leadership Team, you will coordinate course counselling, pathway planning and career development, use data to inform program development and ensure compliance with VET and WACE

This is a 12-month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027 with possible extension and/or permanency

The Role

Ridge View SC is seeking a committed, collaborative and future-focused educational leader as Program Coordinator – Vocational Education and Training (VET). The successful applicant would provide strategic and operational leadership of our VET programs, strengthening responsive and engaging pathways that connect students with meaningful opportunities during and beyond school. Working collaboratively with the College Leadership Team, you should ensure VET programs and individual student pathways are effectively planned, implemented and reviewed to support students to successfully achieve the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) and other recognised qualifications.

You would work closely with the Senior School Pathways Coordinator and Deputy Principal to support course counselling, pathway planning and career development across the College. You would use student achievement, engagement and pathway data to identify opportunities, inform program development and continually improve outcomes for students. A strong understanding of VET and WACE requirements, associated compliance obligations and secondary school pathway planning will be important, together with well-developed organisational and communication skills and the capacity to coordinate a diverse range of programs and initiatives that expose students to further education, training and employment opportunities.

Central to the role is building and maintaining strong partnerships with Registered Training Organisations, Technical and Further Education (TAFE), industry, local businesses, community organisations and other external partners to create meaningful and innovative opportunities for our students. You will ideally be a visible, proactive and solutions-focused leader who can inspire and support staff, strengthen the work of the VET and Senior School team and build connections between the College and the wider community. Through strong relationships, strategic thinking and a genuine commitment to student success, you should help ensure our students are supported to make informed choices and develop pathways that reflect their strengths, aspirations and future goals.

Eligibility

• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
• hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
• obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
• consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
