Job summary

ASIC is leading a Cyber Transformation (CTx) program to strengthen cyber resilience and digital transformation across the organisation. The Program Architect will align IT capabilities with business objectives, develop architectural roadmaps, and govern system integration standards to enable secure, scalable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate technology strategy, architecture, and infrastructure to identify and mitigate cyber risks.

  • Produce target state architectures and perform gap analyses to support cyber transformation.

As the regulator of one of the world's most digitised economies, ASIC's ability to protect sensitive market, corporate and personal information is fundamental to regulatory trust.

The team

The Cyber Transformation (CTx) Program Team delivers strategic initiatives that enhance ASIC's cyber resilience, security and technology capabilities. Working across business and technology teams, they help protect critical systems and data while supporting ASIC's regulatory objectives in an increasingly digital environment.

The role

As a Program Architect within ASIC's Cyber Transformation (CTx) Program, you will play a critical leadership role in aligning organisational and program objectives with IT capabilities and infrastructure. You will develop architectural frameworks and strategic roadmaps for hardware, software, and data integration solutions, while establishing and governing system integration standards. Through this work, you will enable the successful delivery of ASIC's cyber security and digital transformation initiatives.

More Specifically, You Will
  • Evaluate ASIC's technology strategy, organisational architecture, business applications and infrastructure to identify, assess and mitigate cyber security risks across the enterprise.
  • Provide expert advice on the enterprise architecture landscape, encompassing technology, information, data, security and integration domains, to support informed decision making and strengthen ASIC's cyber security posture.
  • Develop technology strategies, architectural roadmaps and planning artefacts that address cyber security risks and enhance the effectiveness, resilience and integration of ASIC's IT environment.
  • Produce target state solution architectures and undertake architectural assessments, gap analyses and recommendations to support cyber transformation initiatives and strategic outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain business capability models, aligning capabilities with industry best practices and mapping application portfolios to business outcomes while embedding cyber security considerations throughout the architecture lifecycle.
  • Define and maintain technology migration roadmaps, aligning business, technology and security requirements while managing dependencies and transition activities to facilitate the adoption of modern platforms and services.
About You

The ideal candidate is an experienced enterprise or program architect with expertise in cyber security transformation, enterprise architecture, and technology modernisation. They bring a strategic mindset, strong delivery capability, and the ability to develop secure, scalable solutions while influencing stakeholders and driving successful transformation outcomes.

In Addition, You Will Have
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related discipline, complemented by recognised enterprise architecture qualifications such as TOGAF certification and relevant professional accreditation.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in delivering technology and organisational transformation initiatives, including large scale cyber security and digital transformation programs with annual budgets exceeding $20 million.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Enterprise Architect, with proven involvement in the design and delivery of cyber security solutions for complex, mission critical business systems.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security, cloud technologies, enterprise data architectures, and software platforms, with the ability to leverage appropriate tools and methodologies to develop architectural roadmaps, strategic plans, and executive level reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience applying Australian Government ICT policies and standards, including the ISM, PSPF, Commonwealth Technology Standard and Australian Government Gateway Security Standard.
  • Proven ability to communicate and present complex technical concepts, architectural strategies, and business impacts to both project teams and executive stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical and technical information into meaningful insights for diverse audiences, including senior executives, business leaders and external stakeholders.
  • TOGAF certification essential.
