Job summary

Talent International seeks an experienced Portfolio Operations Lead to oversee the South Pacific Professional Services portfolio for a global technology organisation. This hands-on contract role focuses on governance, delivery performance and resolving issues across complex engagements before executive escalation.

The role requires 15+ years in IT or managed services, strong financial governance, and experience managing dispersed teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience across IT or managed services
• Experience managing large and complex service delivery portfolios
• Proven background recovering troubled projects and managing customer escalations
• Strong forecasting and financial governance skills
• Confident with executive stakeholders and senior customer contacts
• Experience leading geographically dispersed onshore and offshore teams
• Background in infrastructure services or systems integration
• ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2 or similar qualifications would be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly project health reviews across multiple engagements
• Identify at-risk projects and implement clear recovery plans
• Own complex customer issues and project remediation activities
• Maintain visibility of delivery risks, actions, dependencies and financial exposure
• Collaborate with onshore/offshore delivery leads on resource demand and planning
• Partner with PMO, Sales and Customer Success to improve portfolio performance
• Prepare reporting for weekly reviews, monthly leadership meetings and quarterly business reviews
• Drive accountability across delivery teams and ensure actions are completed

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Operations Lead to join a leading global technology organisation and oversee its South Pacific Professional Services portfolio. This is a hands‑on contract role focused on portfolio governance, delivery performance and resolving issues across complex customer engagements before they require executive escalation.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead weekly project health reviews across multiple professional and managed services engagements.
• Identify at‑risk projects and put clear recovery plans in place.
• Take ownership of complex customer issues and project remediation activities.
• Maintain visibility across delivery risks, actions, dependencies and financial exposure.
• Work closely with onshore and offshore delivery leads on resource demand and workforce planning.
• Partner with PMO, Sales and Customer Success teams to improve portfolio performance.
• Prepare reporting for weekly operational reviews, monthly leadership meetings and quarterly business reviews.
• Drive accountability across delivery teams and ensure actions are followed through.

About you:

• 15+ years’ experience across IT, professional services or managed services.
• Strong experience managing large and complex service delivery portfolios.

• Strong commercial and financial skills, including forecasting and financial governance.
