Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Professional Services Consultant in Sydney to design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise and defence customers. You will lead workshops, assess needs, and translate them into secure, scalable architectures using VMware Cloud Foundation and multiple cloud platforms.

The role requires hands-on experience with virtualization, Windows/Linux, and certification tracks (VMware VCP).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in consulting, cloud infra, virtualization or enterprise infra engineering.
• Experience with enterprise-scale migration projects.
• Strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Automation and related VMware techs.
• Experience with at least one alternative cloud platform to VCF (Redhat, Azure Local, Nutanix, etc.).
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and backup/recovery.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering complex, mission-critical infrastructure in secure environments.
• Active NV1 clearance and VMware certifications (VCP-DCV, VCP-NV) and VCF implementation.
• Defence/government or other secure-environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops, assessments, and solution design for Cloud Platforms and infrastructure.
• Design, deploy, integrate and migrate to Cloud platforms with lifecycle management and automation.
• Provide Level 3 support across virtualization, OS, identity, backup and DR.
• Develop solution documentation, plans, test procedures, runbooks and handover materials.
• Present recommendations, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with delivery stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

As a Service Delivery Consultant, you will help customers solve complex business and technology challenges through the design, deployment, integration and migration to cloud platforms including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Microsoft Azure Local, Redhat and open source solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor and technical leader, you will deliver secure, resilient, and scalable platforms across enterprise and defence environments, including remote and operationally sensitive deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, and solution design activities for Cloud Platforms and infrastructure projects using Dell hardware.
• Design, deploy, integrate and migrate to Cloud platforms, including lifecycle management, upgrades, automation, and integration with supporting services.
• Provide Level 3 support across virtualisation, operating systems, identity services, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop solution documentation, implementation plans, test procedures, runbooks, and operational handover materials.
• Present recommendations, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and collaborate with customer and delivery stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in consulting, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, or enterprise infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with enterprise scale migration projects
• Strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Automation, and associated VMware technologies.
• Expertise with at least one alternative cloud platform to VCF - Redhat, Azure Local, Nutanix etc.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Proven analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering complex, mission-critical infrastructure solutions in secure or highly available environments.
• Must have an active NV1
• VMware certifications (VCP-DCV, VCP-NV) and VMware Cloud Foundation implementation experience.
• Defence, government, or other secure-environment experience.
