Job summary

N & G Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Painter to join the team in Victoria, Australia. The role requires a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent and at least 1 year of painting experience.

You will perform surface preparation, paint applications, masking, and final finishes while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will work with other trades on site, estimate material needs, and ensure accurate records and smooth project completion.

Qualifications

• Certificate III level qualification in Painting and Decorating or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant painting experience required.
• Ability to problem solve and think critically.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in painting techniques, tools and materials.
• Knowledge of colour theory, surface preparation and finish application.
• Strong attention to detail with quality focus.
• Physical stamina for indoor and outdoor work environments.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sand and smooth surfaces and fill cracks for a uniform finish.
• Mix and apply paints, stains, varnishes using brushes, rollers or spray.
• Protect non-painted areas with tape and drop cloths and remove fixtures as needed.
• Estimate material/time requirements and maintain records.
• Apply decorative finishes and colour matching per client specs.
• Maintain tools and workspace; ensure safety and clean-up after each job.
• Coordinate with other trades to align finishing touches with project.
