Job summary

NEX Building Group Pty Ltd in Tomago, NSW, is seeking Production Workers to join our indoor steel framing production team. You will assemble steel wall frames, roof trusses and joists to high quality standards, using power tools and following drawings.

This full-time role includes 4 weeks of paid leave with 17.5% leave loading, Monday to Friday work, and optional overtime on Saturdays. Onsite parking, PPE and ongoing training are provided in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools – training is provided.
• Ability to read and understand basic drawings or framing plans.
• Comfortable with high-volume, repetitive work.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work Monday to Friday.

• Full-Time Permanent Roles (38 hours/week)
• $30.79/h 3 months training period - $35.96/h ongoing once completing training
• 4 weeks paid leave – 17.5% leave loading on holidays
• Monday to Friday

About the role

Reporting to the Factory Manager, Assemblers in our production team are part of the new home frame assembly manufacturing team. The key focus of this role to safely assemble steel wall frames, roof trusses and joists according to drafting plans.

More specifically, you will:

• Build and assemble using power hand tools safely to a high quality and standard
• Read and understand basic drawings and framing plans
• Manual handling, including 2-person lifts and general stacking
• Work collaboratively with a team, ensuring seamless coordination and timely completion of tasks
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment

• Excellent work ethic, honest, reliable and punctual
• Experience in the use of hand and power tools - training is provided
