Job summary

Hyne Timber, a leading Australian timber manufacturer, is seeking a Production Trades Team Leader to guide the trades team on the production floor. You will coordinate daily priorities with Production and Maintenance, respond to equipment issues, and drive preventive and corrective work to maximise plant reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Fitter, Wood Machinist or other relevant trade.
• Experience leading a manufacturing or industrial team.
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown response capabilities.
• Experience coordinating people and maintenance activities.
• Ability to drive safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the production trades team.
• Coordinate trade resources and daily priorities to support production.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership during breakdowns.
• Drive plant reliability by addressing recurring equipment issues.
• Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance, including shutdowns.
• Collaborate across Production and Maintenance to improve performance.
• Coach team members and set clear expectations.
• Drive Lean and Business Excellence initiatives.
