Job summary

ROHDE & SCHWARZ GmbH & Co. KG in Brisbane, Australia seeks a production team lead to drive technical leadership, coaching and continuous improvement.

The role focuses on guidance, training and practical coaching for the team, while setting up skill matrices and coordinating training on rack mounting, cabling, and test equipment. The position also covers ensuring accurate execution of assembly and cable production orders, documenting specifications and drawings, conducting daily shopfloor

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership and coaching for the team.
• Provide technical guidance, training and practical coaching to team members.
• Set up and maintain a skill matrix; conduct training on R&S processes for rack mounting, cabling, cable production and rework loops.
• Perform checklists and support quality assessments, contributing to production & quality.
• Ensure correct execution of assembly orders per work instructions, drawings and parts lists.
• Ensure correct execution of cable production orders with relevant documentation (specifications, drawings, contracts, regulations).
• Identify recurring errors, support root cause analysis and initiate technical corrective actions.
• Coordinate and distribute tasks within regular production without shift planning.
• Distribute and prioritise daily production tasks; align with engineering, quality and stock on materials/drawings.
• Conduct daily shopfloor meetings to disseminate essential information and enhance quality through structured problem solving.
• Maintain production documents in SAP/SharePoint and report relevant technical KPIs to the manager.
• Initiate and contribute to improvement measures (5S, Kaizen) to increase quality and efficiency.
• Ensure availability and proper use of tools and test equipment.
• Provide ongoing technical guidance and coordination.

• Distribute and prioritise tasks within regular daily production, ensuring team members know what to do next.
• Alignment with engineering, quality and stock regarding material and drawings.
• Conducting a daily shopfloor meeting to ensure the necessary information for the team, improving quality through structured problem solving and regular exchange with the interface partners.
• Maintenance of production documents in SAP/ Share-Point
• Reporting relevant technical KPIs to the manager.Process Improvement & Maintenance
