Job summary

Liquip in Sydney is seeking a Production and Planning Assistant to work with the mechanical production team, gaining hands-on experience in assembly, machine shop, planning and document control. The role offers growth opportunities toward production management and supply/demand planning.

You'll create and maintain document control, support daily planning, prepare shop packets, handle requisitions, assist LEAN projects, and help with maintenance and inventory for CNCs, contributing to value

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or mechanical background required.
• Fitting/machining trade qualification preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong mechanical reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain sustainable document control processes for SOPs, maintenance register, training documents, improvements and other production related documents.
• Undertaking and supporting daily planning activities of the business to service the needs of the customer base.
• Producing all shop packets and picking reports for daily preparation. Closure of discrete jobs for finalisation.
• Raising requisitions for production related expense and consumables items or components and chasing them through purchasing.
• Assistance in working on LEAN projects for better productivity/cost benefits.
• Maintaining and organizing maintenance on key production equipment.
• Actively supporting in manufacturing cell cycle counting process.
• Organize, & maintain inventory in “Smart Cabinet” for CNC’s with assistance from machine shop Team Leader and Vendor.
• Assist in mechanical assembly or Machine shop as required to assemble/test products or operate machines.
• Other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
