Sourceable Talent is seeking a practical, hands-on Team Leader/Senior Operator to guide a small production team on the floor. You will operate automated equipment, diagnose machinery issues, and drive safe, high-quality output.

You will train others, own problems, and take on more responsibility in a established production operation. A forklift licence is advantageous and lean/5S experience is valued.

Formación

• Experience with automated production equipment and a solid mechanical understanding.
• Ability to train and coach operators to improve performance.
• Experience applying lean, 5S or continuous improvement methods.
• Forklift licence is advantageous and current.

• Operate automated equipment, monitor performance and address issues.
• Collaborate with maintenance to diagnose and fix machinery faults.

We're recruiting for a practical, hands-on leader for an established production operation. You’ll work alongside and guide a small team, operate automated equipment, help diagnose and solve machinery problems, while finding ways to improve output safely.

This opportunity could suit an experienced Team Leader or a capable Senior Operator who already helps train others, takes ownership of problems and is ready for more responsibility.

Most of your day will be spent on the production floor, with time to process any administrative duties that come with the role. You’ll need to understand the equipment, provide clear direction and help your team maintain a consistent standard of work, setting the benchmark for the existing operational team.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Organising daily production activities and allocate work across a small team.
• Operating automated equipment, monitor performance and recognise when something needs attention.
• Helping resolve operating issues and work with maintenance to address machinery faults.
• Training and support operators, building their capability and confidence.
• Maintaining safe work practices, product quality and good housekeeping.
• Identifying practical improvements that reduce stoppages and improve production output.
• Completing production records, communicate clear shift handovers and provide supervisor cover when required.

You’ll bring experience around automated production equipment, sound mechanical understanding and demonstrated ability to guide others.

We’re interested in how you’ve helped a team perform: training a new operator, working through a recurring equipment problem, improving a process or keeping production moving through a difficult shift.

Practical experience with lean, 5S or continuous improvement is important. Mechanical trade qualifications and a current forklift licence will be well regarded.

These roles offer scope to contribute ideas, develop other operators and build your leadership experience while remaining directly involved in production.
