HRCheck Aust Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is hiring a Production Team Leader for the Afternoon Shift. You will lead a hands-on production team in a fast-paced packaging facility, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to quality standards.

You will coordinate workflows, machine setups, changeovers, and schedules, mentor operators, and drive safety and continuous improvement across the site.

Production Team Leader - Afternoon Shift

Our client is one of Australia’s leading packaging manufacturers, and their Yatala site is expanding. We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader - Afternoon Shift who can step into the role and be effective from day one.

This position suits someone who has hands‑on production experience, ideally within packaging, FMCG or high‑speed manufacturing environments — and is ready to lead people, drive output, and maintain quality standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading a production team across manufacturing operations
• Coordinating workflow, machine setups, changeovers, and production schedules
• Ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency targets are met
• Supporting operators with troubleshooting, mechanical adjustments, and problem‑solving
• Training, mentoring, and developing operators
• Maintaining documentation, reporting, and compliance with site procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Existing industry experience — packaging, FMCG or similar high‑speed production manufacturing
• Proven ability to hit the ground running as a team leader / leading hand role immediately
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with production machinery
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team‑coordination skills
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
