Job summary

TLH Recruitment is proudly representing a manufacturer of fresh foods based in Homebush, NSW, seeking an experienced Production Team Leader for a day-shift role. This ongoing casual position has the potential to become permanent for the right person.

You will oversee line efficiencies, downtime, and improvements for products coming off the lines in production areas. The role includes morning starts between 5am and 7am, Monday to Friday with some weekends during peak periods, and ongoing

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG.
• Strong leadership and people development abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify equipment issues that may delay production and escalate to Supervisor/Production Manager.
• Record downtime and contributing factors in downtime reports.
• Monitor team members to maintain clean, hygienic and audit-ready areas.
• Verify product quality and escalate issues to QA/QC promptly.
• Address routine performance or conduct matters per policy.
• Ensure CCPs and food safety controls are performed as required.
• Ensure production forms and paperwork are completed each shift.
• Coordinate cleaning and sanitation tasks to keep production areas tidy.

TLH Recruitment is proudly representing a manufacturer of fresh foods based in Homebush, they are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Production Team Leader to join their team! This opportunity is an ongoing casual position with the potential to be made permanent for the right person

This role will involve assessing all efficiencies, downtime and further improvements for products coming off the lines in the production areas.

HOURS OF WORKMonday to Friday with some weekends requiredResponsibilities:

• Identify equipment issues that may delay production and elevate to the Supervisor/Production Manager
  and Maintenance as required.
• Record downtime, lost production and contributing factors accurately on downtime reports.
• Monitor and support team members to keep work areas clean, hygienic and audit-ready.
• Monitor product quality, verify checks are completed, and elevate issues to QA/QC promptly.
• Address routine performance and conduct matters in the moment and elevate formal performance or
  grievance matters to the Supervisor/Production Manager in line with policy.
• Ensure Critical Control Points (CCPs) and other food safety controls are completed correctly and at the
  required frequency.
• Ensure all production forms and paperwork are accurate, complete and submitted each shift.
• Coordinate general cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure immediate production areas remain tidy and
  hygienic.
• Apply the Quality Manual, SOPs, HACCP and GMP requirements to daily operations, including allergen
  controls.
• Ensure measuring equipment is used correctly and that measurements are recorded accurately.

Qualifications:

• Previous food manufacturing experience
• Completed GMP training course

Knowledge, Experience and Essential Personal Requirements:

• At least 2 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferable FMCG
• Clear, concise, verbal and written communications.
• Development of people - delegates effectively. Stimulates individual growth.

• Safety performance - aware of safety requirements. Makes great effort to create hazard free environment.
