Job summary

Makinex Renewables is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee production, sourcing, purchasing and distribution across our portfolio. You will work with suppliers, internal stakeholders and contract manufacturers to ensure timely delivery, quality and cost efficiency.

Reporting to the Global Production Manager, you will drive improvements to systems and inventory, manage SAP data, and support capital optimisation across sites in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical preferred).
• Experience in production, procurement, sourcing or supply chain.
• Strong understanding of materials selection, manufacturing and QC.
• Advanced Excel and Word skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong decision-making and results-driven approach.
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience communicating with Asian suppliers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage production, purchasing, sourcing and distribution across the portfolio.
• Oversee supplier relationships, purchase orders, logistics and fulfilment.
• Coordinate product assembly and ensure quality, safety and delivery standards.
• Manage inventory, stock levels and SAP purchasing data.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and supply reliability.
• Drive improvements to production systems and SAP efficiencies.
• Monitor production and purchasing metrics and report accurately.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure timely delivery.
• Support working capital optimisation through inventory management and terms.
• Provide backup support to Global Production Manager as required.
