About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the full production area. The focus of the role is to build a culture that has a strong Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence mindset, driving towards achieving production KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion a safety‑first culture.
• Lead and develop the production team, focusing on talent building for the mould change team and the production technicians.
• Ensure all products are made on time and to specification.
• Promote a culture of LEAN & Continuous Improvement towards world‑best practice.
• Model direct, respectful communication practiced across the site.
• Ensure all ISO, HACCP and GMP standards and practices are achieved.
• Action weekly production plans with a focus on minimizing waste and maximizing machine uptime.
• Work with the reliability manager to review machine setups and optimise product manufacture.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain Team to optimise planning and scheduling, and to identify key issues that may impact customer delivery.
• Support the maintenance and logistics teams.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset to enhance safety, productivity, quality and reliability.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Proven experience in Lean and Operational Excellence.
• Experience at a management level in a manufacturing environment that embraces continuous improvement.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to motivate, lead and supervise.
• Ability to coach and mentor.
• Leadership, influencing, negotiation, change management, conflict resolution, financial and computer literacy skills.

Qualifications

Degree qualified is preferable in addition to solid experience in supervision within a manufacturing environment.
