Job summary

OPW, a global leader in fluid-handling solutions, invites applications for a Production Planning Assistant in Sydney. You will work with the mechanical production team on assembly, machine shop, planning and production documents control. This role offers hands-on exposure and growth into production management and supply planning.

Key duties include maintaining SOPs, supporting daily planning, and handling shop reports. Relevant qualifications and a proactive, collaborative attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires manufacturing or mechanical background.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with document control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain document control for SOPs, maintenance, training and improvements.
• Support daily planning activities to service customer needs.
• Produce shop packets and picking reports for daily prep.
• Raise requisitions for production expenses and consumables.
• Assist Lean projects to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Maintain inventory in CNC smart cabinet with team leader support.
• Assist in mechanical assembly or machine shop tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
