Job summary

OPW, a global leader in fluid-handling solutions, seeks a Production and Planning Assistant in Sydney. The role interfaces with the mechanical production team, focusing on document control, planning activities, and shop floor support. Opportunities exist in production management and supply/demand planning.

Key tasks include maintaining SOPs and training records, preparing daily reports, and supporting lean initiatives and maintenance of equipment to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or Mechanical background.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong mechanical reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain document control for SOPs, maintenance registers, training docs and improvements.
• Support daily planning activities to meet customer needs.
• Prepare shop packets and reports for daily production.
• Raise production-related requisitions and track through purchasing.
• Support lean projects for productivity and cost benefits.
• Maintain and organize maintenance on key production equipment.
• Assist in assembly or machine shop tasks as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
