Job summary

Liquip International Pty Ltd is seeking a Production Planning Assistant to support our manufacturing operations in NSW. Based at our Wetherill Park facility, you will help coordinate schedules, manage workflows, and optimise production processes to meet customer demands and business objectives.

You will work closely with the production planning team and the Production Manager to ensure smooth operations, accurate data, and timely reporting while contributing to continuous improvement and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, scheduling or manufacturing support.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning software/ERP.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to data entry accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is advantageous.
• Relevant qualification or certification in production planning, logistics, or manufacturing preferred.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities.

In this role, you will support the production planning function, playing a crucial part in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the production planning and the mechanical Production Manager to coordinate schedules, manage workflows, and optimise our manufacturing processes to meet customer demands and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of production schedules and timelines

• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to track production progress and identify any scheduling conflicts
• Support the preparation of production reports and performance metrics
• Liaise between production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow
• Assist in managing production orders and work-in-progress tracking
• Help identify scheduling inefficiencies and support process improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of production data and documentation
• Provide administrative support to the production planning department

What we're looking for
