The role involves hands-on work with assembly, machine shop, planning and production document control, with potential growth into production management and supply/demand planning areas.

Qualifications

Manufacturing or Mechanical background.
Fitting/Machining trade qualification.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Strong mechanical reasoning skills.
Hands-on attitude and problem solving.
Customer service ethos and collaboration skills.
Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
Willingness to work on machines and assemble products.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain document control for SOPs, maintenance registers, training documents and production-related documents.
Undertake daily planning activities to service customer needs.
Produce shop packets and daily picking reports.
Close discrete jobs for finalisation.
Raise requisitions for production expenses and chase through purchasing.
Support LEAN projects for productivity and cost benefits.
Maintain and organise maintenance on key production equipment.
Assist in mechanical assembly or machine shop tasks as needed.
