Job summary

OPW, part of Dover Corporation, in Sydney seeks a Production Planning Assistant to work with the mechanical production team across assembly, machine shop, planning and document control. The role offers hands-on exposure and growth toward production management and supply/demand planning.

You will help maintain SOPs, handle daily planning, prepare shop packets, and manage purchases and inventory. A manufacturing background and fitting/machining qualification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or Mechanical background required.
• Fitting/Machining trade qualification preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain document control for SOPs, maintenance and training docs.
• Support daily planning activities to service customer needs.
• Produce shop packets and picking reports for daily prep; close discrete jobs.
• Raise requisitions for production expenses and chase through purchasing.
• Assist in LEAN projects to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Maintain and organize maintenance on key production equipment.
• Support in manufacturing cell counting processes.
• Organize inventory in Smart Cabinet for CNCs with team lead and vendors.
• Assist in mechanical assembly or machine shop operations as required.
