Job summary

Thomas Foods International in Stawell, VIC, is seeking a Produc­tion Planner to organise and coordinate Lamb, Mutton & Goat production across shifts. You will ensure processes align with quality systems while achieving targets and customer specifications.

The role requires GMP/HACCP experience and strong data reporting, with a safety-first mindset and effective communication to support supervisors and management. A pre-employment medical will be required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Production Planner.
• Experience in GMP or HACCP environment is essential.
• Experience in the Meat industry is advantageous, other food/pharma processing considered.

Responsibilities

• Organise and coordinate production for Lamb, Mutton & Goat on both shifts.
• Supervise production to meet yield targets and customer specs; support and train supervisors.
• Provide daily and weekly reporting to management.
• Provide load advice to the cold store and daily predictions for orders.

The Opportunity

This is a key role in our production team, responsible for organising and coordinating the production for the Lamb, Mutton & Goat section on both shifts by ensuring that all the processes are followed in accordance with the quality management system, while production targets are maintained.

Supervise production to ensure the products meet yield targets and customers specifications whilst providing supervisors with support and training in this area.

About The Role

• Based in our Stawell, Vic process plant with 6am start
• Schedule the processing program and ensure all lamb, mutton & goat are processed to the correct grade
• Schedule processing to align and optimise production performance
• Work closely with supervisors and managers to ensure customer compliance specifications are met and assist with any non-compliance complaints
• GMP and HACCP environment
• Provide daily and weekly reporting
• Provide load advise to the cold store for completed orders, along with daily prediction for frozen and chilled cartons

What We Are Looking For

• A Safety-First mindset
• Significant experience as a Production Planner
• Experience working in a GMP or HACCP environment is considered essential
• Experience in the Meat industry would be advantageous, but other food or pharmaceutical processing experience will be considered
• Experience and capability to provide data and reporting
• Exceptional communication skills, complimented by problem solving and QA investigation capabilities

The successful person will need to complete a preemployment Medical Examination - including Q fever vaccination, fitness, drug and alcohol testing.
