Job summary

PPG | Tullamarine Plant in Melbourne area is seeking a Full Time, Permanent role responsible for blending, packing and decanting paint and related products. The incumbent will assist with day-to-day production, including setting up and cleaning equipment, filling and decanting to correct weights, and preparing intermediates as per formulas.

Role requires adherence to EHS policies, accurate interpretation of product formulae, and strong collaboration with the Production Supervisor to meet

Qualifications

• Adhere to EHS policies and procedures.
• Interpret product formulae accurately.
• Blend paints and related products with precision.
• Operate and maintain coatings production equipment.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisor on schedules.
• Assist operators with production and packing of coatings and sealants.
• Fill and pack paints to weight/specifications.

This position is responsible for blending, packing and decanting paint and paint related products. It is also required to assist with day to day production of various coatings products as per product formulae.

The incumbent will be responsible packing of coatings and paint related products. This includes setting up and cleaning equipment, filling and decanting products to correct weight and specifications.

The incumbent also required to assist with blending in line with the formula. This includes picking and preparing the intermediates required to produce a particular product.

Requires

• Knowledge and adherence to PPG policies with respect to EHS.
• Good understanding and ability to interpret product formulae.
• Accuracy in blending product formulae, both paint and paint-related products
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of equipment with respect to coatings production.
• Liaison with Production Supervisor with respect to production schedules.
• Support the operators with the production and packing of coatings and sealants
• Filling and packing of paints and paint-related products
• Participate in 5S program
• Comply with all the procedures regarding Health, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self motivation and self starting
