Job summary

PPG is seeking a Production Operator for its Clayton manufacturing site in Australia. The role involves turning raw materials into finished paint products, operating mixing and filling equipment, and ensuring quality through colour matching and packaging tasks.

Great communication, experience in automated manufacturing, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts are beneficial. The position offers full-time or contract engagement with on-site facilities and long-term career progression.

Qualifications

At our manufacturing plant in Clayton, we create products that are used in the home, in commercial building, in the automotive industry, as well as many other products that are part of everyday life. The site is the home of our iconic Australian brand – Taubmans!

Production Operators are key to the creation of these products. They are the people that turn the raw materials into the end product. We are currently seeking Production Operators to join our established team at Clayton for both full time and contract positions. Both Day and Afternoon shifts are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing/measuring paint ingredients for blending and packaging
• Operating paint mixing machines
• Colour matching paint
• Packaging/labelling paint products
• General cleaning/tidying
• Operating filling equipment

Requirements

• Great communicational skills
• Previously worked in an automated manufacturing/process work environment
• Comfortable working with chemicals (non-harmful paint products)
• Comfortable with manual handling
• Looking for long term opportunity and work
Comfortable with working 12 hr shifts - if required

Additional Information

• Must be willing to undergo and pass a pre-employment Drug, Alcohol & Medical test, as well as a police check
• Australian work rights are required
