AMA Collision is seeking an experienced Workshop/ Production Manager in Townsville to lead the workshop team and drive efficient operations. You will support the Centre Manager and guide production staff to deliver quality repairs.

The role is permanent, Monday to Friday, with a focus on safety, process flow, and customer satisfaction. You will manage production timelines, procurement, and site profitability while maintaining a clean, organized workshop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe workshop environment and manage production staff.
• Process vehicles on arrival and coordinate parts, paint and consumables.
• Oversee repair processes to achieve timely, cost-effective quality repairs.
• Manage site production to meet productivity targets and customer expectations.
• Contribute to profitability and customer satisfaction while overseeing housekeeping.

AMA Collision Mackley St is Townsville’s one-stop shop for automotive spray-painting, panel beating, and mechanical repairs.

The large, friendly team maintains a family atmosphere and take pride in their workmanship. The business has been known for quality and efficiency in Townsville for more than 30 years, and opened their huge new workshop in Garbutt five years ago. The new site is clean and well organised, and conveniently located just off Woolcock St.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop/ Production Manager to join our team.

Permanent position. Monday to Friday.

You will be supporting the Centre Manager and managing and guiding production staff within the workshop.

What You'll Do

• Ensure the site remains a safe working environment for all staff
• Process vehicles upon arrival
• Assist with the ordering and receipting of parts, paint and consumables
• Manage the repair process to ensure timely, cost effective quality repairs are carried out
• Manage the production of the site to meet the set productivity targets and customer expectations
• Assist in the management of the site to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
• Oversee the housekeeping within the workshop

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to delate tasks.
• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications in particular excel
• The ability to motivate, manage and get the best out of your team
• Strong commitment to work in a safe manner
