Job summary

AMA Collision Townsville is seeking an experienced Workshop/ Production Manager to lead our workshop operations at Mackley St. The role focuses on safe production, efficient vehicle processing, and guiding production staff to meet quality and productivity targets.

You will support the Centre Manager, ensure safe practices, and drive profitability while delivering high-quality repairs and excellent customer service in a busy collision repair facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management role within collision repair or automotive workshop environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team.
• Ability to set and meet deadlines and manage production timelines.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
• Process vehicles upon arrival and manage production flow.
• Assist with ordering and receipting of parts, paint and consumables.
• Oversee repair processes to ensure timely, cost effective quality repairs.
• Manage workshop production to hit productivity targets and customer expectations.
• Assist in site profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee housekeeping within the workshop.

AMA Collision Mackley St is Townsville’s one‑stop shop for automotive spray‑painting, panel beating, and mechanical repairs.

The large, friendly team maintains a family atmosphere and take pride in their workmanship. The business has been known for quality and efficiency in Townsville for more than 30 years, and opened their huge new workshop in Garbutt five years ago. The new site is clean and well organised, and conveniently located just off Woolcock St.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop/ Production Manager to join our team.

Permanent position. Monday to Friday.

You will be supporting the Centre Manager and managing and guiding production staff within the workshop.

What You'll Do

• Ensure the site remains a safe working environment for all staff
• Process vehicles upon arrival
• Assist with the ordering and receipting of parts, paint and consumables
• Manage the repair process to ensure timely, cost effective quality repairs are carried out
• Manage the production of the site to meet the set productivity targets and customer expectations
• Assist in the management of the site to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
• Oversee the housekeeping within the workshop
