Job summary

Buildability Group in Australia is seeking an experienced Production Manager to own the factory floor, lead a growing team and drive performance across safety, productivity, quality and people engagement on a day shift.

You’ll inherit a capable team at a well-performing site with plenty of opportunity to stamp your own mark and deliver measurable improvements while collaborating with maintenance, logistics and quality teams.

• $120,000 – $180,000 dependent on experience + Super + Annual bonus up to 15%

We’re working with a well-established packaging manufacturer in Western Sydney.

They’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of the factory floor, lead a team through a period of growth and help raise performance across safety, productivity, quality and people engagement. This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday on a day shift.

You’ll inherit a capable team and a site that’s performing well, but there’s still plenty of opportunity to put your own stamp on things.

What you’ll be doing –

• Leading production operations across a busy manufacturing facility
• Managing and developing Supervisors, Team Leaders and production staff
• Making sure production targets are achieved without compromising safety or quality
• Working closely with maintenance, logistics and quality teams to keep operations running smoothly
• Identifying bottlenecks and implementing practical improvements
• Coaching managers and supervisors to build accountability and capability within the team

What we’re looking for –

You could come from packaging, plastics, FMCG, food, print, building products or another high-volume manufacturing operation.
What’s important is that you’ve:

• Managed production KPIs, staffing levels and operational performance
• Proven experience managing large teams and multiple layers of leadership
• Delivered measurable improvements in productivity, quality or efficiency
• Developed and retained strong teams
• Taken a hands‑on approach rather than managing from behind a desk

A trade qualification, engineering background or tertiary qualification would be viewed favourably.
