Job summary

Blackbook Recruitment is recruiting a Production Manager for a leading FMCG manufacturer based in Sydney, NSW. The role focuses on owning day-to-day production performance across multiple lines and leading a large frontline workforce across several shifts.

You will partner with Engineering, Quality and Planning to deliver production requirements, drive improvements and sustain a high-performance culture on the factory floor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

My client is a leading FMCG manufacturer operating a high-volume production environment with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and getting product out the door. With multiple production lines, technical equipment and a large frontline workforce, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Manager to drive day-to-day manufacturing performance.

This role is based in Sydney, NSW.

The Role

• Own day-to-day production performance across multiple lines
• Lead a large frontline workforce across multiple shifts
• Maintain a highly visible presence across the factory floor
• Drive yield, giveaway, waste, throughput and packs per minute
• Improve changeover performance and line efficiency
• Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance on equipment performance

Your Background

• An experienced Production Manager or senior Production Leader within FMCG
• Experienced leading large production teams in a high-volume environment
• Ideally from food, beverage, dairy or similar FMCG background
• A highly hands‑on and floor-focused leader
• Strong technically, with an understanding of automated machinery and line performance
• Experienced driving yield, giveaway, waste, throughput and changeover improvements
• Comfortable managing large frontline teams across multiple lines and shifts
• Performance-focused with a strong track record of implementation
• A strong communicator who can work across Engineering, Quality and Planning
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, output-focused environment
