Responsibilities

• Operate tile production machinery (racker) to produce tiles.
• General cleanup and maintenance of the work area.
• Profile changeovers and quality checks.
• Fill out quality data sheets as required.
• Oil level checks on equipment.
• Monitor raw material feed and reject defective product.
• Monitor extrusion process to ensure tiles meet standards.
• Assist new operators once trained.
• Reset tile machine and start procedures.
• Fill sand bins as needed with appropriate tickets.
• Keep recycle conveyors clean and clear.
• General asset care and maintenance.
• Relieve other positions as necessary.

About the Role You'll be operating tile manufacturing machinery to support the production of high-quality roofing materials. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives in a team setting and is committed to maintaining high safety standards.

Key Tasks and Duties

• Racker operation
• General clean up and maintenance of work area
• Profile change overs
• Fill out quality data sheets
• Oil level checks
• Monitoring raw material feed to identify and reject product
• Monitor extrusion process to ensure all tiles are made to standards
• Once trained, assist new operators
• Reset tile machine and start
• Fill sand bins if required (with relevant tickets)
• Ensure recycle conveyors are kept clean
• General asset care and maintenance
• Relieve of other positions as and if necessary

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with machine operation (highly regarded)
• Good level of hand eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Basic computer literacy and ability to read/write effectively
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices
• Physically fit - must be able to pass a fitness assessment
• Reliable transport to Darra for early start - no public transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
