Toby's Estate in Sydney's Woolloomooloo roastery is seeking a dedicated Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations. You will handle machine packing, carton packing, pallet stacking, and assist in activities that create exceptional coffee experiences.

The role requires production‑space experience, reliability, and strong teamwork. This casual position offers approximately 25 hours per week, with potential weekend shifts as needed and a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Machine packing and hand packing tasks.
• Carton packing coffee and stacking pallets for distribution.
• Operate and maintain the ICA packing machine.
• Communicate bean volumes for additional roasting to Roasters.
• Manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
• Complete necessary documentation and perform general manufacturing tasks.
• Collaborate effectively within the production team.

The story of Toby's Estate began in 1997, in the grungy streets of Woolloomooloo, armed with Mum’s garage, a beat‑up coffee roaster and passion on tap, we set out on a wild adventure of business and coffee discovery. Not concerned with the frills of it all, but just that we were consistently consistent in roasting the tastiest coffee we could and treating all the people in our world like family. Fast forward nearly 30 years, we’re an energetic team and merry band of misfits united by a common passion for doing amazing things, and at the forefront of pushing the limits of premium specialty coffee.

The role:

Are you passionate about coffee and looking to be part of a thriving coffee business? Join us as a Production Assistant in our state‑of‑the‑art roastery, where you’ll play a vital role in creating exceptional coffee experiences.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Machine packing and hand packing
• Carton packing coffee and correctly stacking pallets for distribution
• Operating and maintaining the ICA packing machine
• Communicating coffee bean volumes for additional roasting to Roasters based on pack list information
• Managing stock levels and ensuring timely replenishment
• Completing necessary documentation and performing general manufacturing tasks
• Collaborating effectively within the production team

This is a casual position offering approximately 25 hours per week, ideally worked across three days, with flexibility as business needs require. As we operate seven days a week, there may also be occasional weekend shifts from time to time.
