Job summary

Southern Star Windows & Doors is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the product portfolio from concept through commercialisation. You will drive end-to-end lifecycle, navigate competing priorities, and shape strategies across windows, doors and related systems.

You will collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Sales and Marketing to ensure commercial success, profitability, and market leadership in Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience in product management within windows, doors, glazing, aluminium systems or broader building products.
• Strong understanding of stage-gate product development and commercialisation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage products through their entire lifecycle.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across technical and commercial teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse costs, margins, ROI and business opportunities.

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of our product portfolio and drive the development of products that create real value for our customers, dealers, builders and the business.

This is not a role for someone who simply manages a product catalogue.

We're looking for a commercially astute Product Manager who can lead products from concept through to commercialisation, navigate competing priorities, challenge stakeholders when necessary, and ensure the right decisions are made for the long-term success of the business.

Working closely with R&D, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Sales and Marketing, you'll own the end-to-end product lifecycle and play a key role in shaping the future direction of our product range.

About the Role

Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and product requirements

Highly Regarded

• Experience within the window, door, glazing or architectural building products industry
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirements
• Understanding of manufacturing environments and product development processes
• Experience working across engineering, production and commercial functions
