Medibank in Melbourne is seeking an experienced design leader to head our Product Design Chapter and elevate design excellence across squads. You will champion customer-centred thinking that delivers meaningful business outcomes while guiding a team of Product Designers across digital experiences.

You will partner with Product, Technology and Brand leaders to balance customer needs with technical feasibility, drive accessibility, and strengthen design maturity across web and mobile experiences,

Qualifications

Significant experience leading digital product design teams.
Strong expertise in UX, UI, accessibility and design systems.
Experience in complex, agile product environments.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align teams around a vision.
Passionate about customer experiences and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a Product Design team.
Set and uplift design standards across squads.
Partner with Product, Technology and Experience leaders to deliver customer-centred solutions.
Provide hands-on leadership for strategic initiatives.
Champion accessibility, inclusive design and design system adoption.
Use customer insights to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement across design quality and ways of working.
