Job summary

Mitchell Shire Council is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to support procurement activities across the organisation. You will develop and implement systems, maintain registers, participate in contract management meetings and prepare reports.

The role is permanent and full-time with a monthly ADO, offering a Band 5 salary plus superannuation. You will bring strong communication skills, experience in purchasing/procurement, and a collaborative approach to work across all levels of the

Responsibilities

• Assist the Procurement Coordinator with end-to-end procurement processes across Council.
• Provide procurement advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement procurement systems and maintain registers.
• Participate in contract management meetings and reporting.
• Prepare procurement reports and status updates for management.
• Support ongoing process improvements within procurement activities.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a procurement specialist to assist the Procurement Coordinator to undertake procurement processes across Council and provide advice to internal and external stakeholders. You enjoy developing and implementing systems, maintaining registers, participating in contract management meetings and preparing reports.

This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at 78.5K to 89.5K pa (Band 5) plus superannuation.

About You

You are a well organised, efficient person who has great communication skills both written and verbal and have had experience working in a purchasing/procurement role. You are a team player and good at continuous improvement, providing advice and working with people across all levels of an organisation.
