Job summary

Mitchell Shire Council is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to support procurement activities across the organisation. You will develop and implement systems, maintain registers, participate in contract management meetings and prepare reports.

The role is permanent and full-time with a monthly ADO, offering a Band 5 salary plus superannuation. You will bring strong communication skills, experience in purchasing/procurement, and a collaborative approach to work across all levels of the

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing/procurement within a public sector or large organisation.
• Strong written and verbal communication to advise internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and across levels of an organisation.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and procedural development.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Procurement Coordinator with end-to-end procurement processes across Council.
• Provide procurement advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement procurement systems and maintain registers.
• Participate in contract management meetings and reporting.
• Prepare procurement reports and status updates for management.
• Support ongoing process improvements within procurement activities.
