Job summary

The National Gallery of Australia in Parkes ACT is seeking an APS6-level procurement professional to support compliant procurement processes, develop and review less complex contracts, and assist contract management activities to deliver value for money for the Gallery and the Commonwealth.

You will provide authoritative advice on procurement planning and contract management, interact with the internal legal team on high-risk procurements, and contribute to the Gallery’s procurement strategy and

Collaborate with internal legal on high-risk procurements and policy interpretation.

Responsibilities

Provide authoritative advice and guidance on procurement planning, sourcing strategies, market approaches, including panels, evaluation methodologies, contract establishment and contract management.
Engage with the internal legal team on high risk, high value procurements, as required.
Assist with less complex market assessment and negotiation activities.
Assist with annual procurement planning activities with teams across the National Gallery, contributing to business improvement initiatives.
Assist to update procurement and contract templates, policies, guidelines, procedures and processes, and support the procurement and contract management systems.
Support the Procurement Manager to deliver procurement strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
